Low-Stress Holiday Weight Management
I want to enjoy my holidays–all the fun and frivolity–without weight gain. And I don’t want to wage a constant battle against my psyche to do it (no fun!). Here is my simple, effective, auto-pilot plan for managing my appetitive, cravings and movement during the holidays:
1) Bring my water bottle wherever I go. Water, in itself, reduces appetite while removing toxins (from holiday treats and stress). I add one drop of Young Living Slique Essence to my water to help control my cravings and appetite.
Slique Essence combines grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, spearmint, and ocotea with stevia extract in a unique blend that supports healthy weight management goals. These ingredients work together to help control hunger. The pleasant citrus combination of grapefruit, tangerine, and lemon essential oils adds a flavorful and uplifting element to any day with the added support of spearmint that may help with digestion. Ocotea essential oil adds an irresistible, cinnamon-like aroma to help control hunger, while stevia adds an all-natural sweetener that provides a pleasant taste with no added calories.
2) I take Slique Slim Caps before arriving at a party or my biggest meal (see them rubber-banded to my water bottle in the picture above) so that I eat less.
Slique™ Slim Caps combine essential oils, dietary fibers, and other key ingredients into a weight-management supplement that may induce feelings of satiation, increase metabolic activity, and decrease excessive eating and over indulgence.
3) I wear a pedometer. During the holidays, I don’t set a daily goal to reach (too stressful!). I wear the pedometer for awareness. That awareness makes me move more. Just feeling it at my waist reminds me to take the stairs rather than the elevator. Seeing the numbers increase over the course of my day makes me feel good. Keeping my body in movement keeps it strong and healthy, better able to handle the extra stresses of the holiday season.
That’s it. It may not be much but it’s enough to keep my holidays healthy, happy and low-stress so I can look forward to January knowing that I will not have to work to reverse holiday weight gain.
